My perfect occupation

I know what my perfect job would be-- I would fix the mistakes in movies. It's kind of like Monk's editing job except fantastically better.
I would catch mistakes in movies before they were released to the public
Things like in Cheaper By the Dozen in the scene at end when Bonnie Hunt's sunglasses fall off her head when the little nerd child runs into her arms and then suddenly a second later they're back where they belong. Amazing!
Or National Treasure. . . . don't even get me started. I had a 2 page list I made of all the corrections that needed to be made in that movie.
And poor Stephannie. . . she had to sit through me watching Harry Potter 7 Part 1 for the second time while I started listing all the ways they screwed up.
Don't get me wrong. . . . it was a lovely movie. Dobby was wonderfully portrayed and yes of course I cried when he died.

But really. . . . some things. . . . I just don't get. Let me list just a few among the many I caught
1- Mad Eye and Mundungus Fletcher were supposed to be together. . . looked like to me when he flew past Harry that he was riding solo. . . and why did he not take off at the same time as the others? Doesn't that foil his plan?
2- Why did Hagrid randomly pass out? Um hello he is key in saving Harry in that scene. They're supposed to go through the shield right after Lucius's wand is destroyed. That really did not happen in the movie.
3- The patronus/dementor set-up was screwed up. The point of Umbridge's cat was to protect the ministry workers by parading in front of them while the dementors were sucking the happiness out of those being questioned. Didn't happen. ANDDDD I am so glad to know that old-fashioned lift doors will protect me from dementors. I'll remember to keep them shut next time I'm attacked.
4-And when they first disapparated? It was supposed to be a random mostly empty street that Hermione was familiar with. I do not think Piccadilly Circle qualifies as that even if they do take a side street off of it.
One last thing. . . . .  Rufus Scrigemour. I kept thinking he was Marcus from New Moon.
See the similarity?
But no, he is actually Davy Jones. I realized this after the intensely long close up of his wrinkly eyes.

Heroes are found in the most unlikely of places

I would like to take readers back to a blog I wrote so very long ago titled serial killers . Most likely, you've never even read it. If you have, and if you do, the question in your mind of what-the-heck-is-this-supposed-to-even-mean? will most likely pop up. Well, my posts always include a million and one meanings whether they appear to be meaningless or not. Let me clue you in enough to understand the teensiest bit. The post, and also this post (along will a few others of course) are about a certain boy. *gasp!* imagine that! It's all about this boy and how I believed he could change, believed he could understand, believed he could grow up.
But unfortunately, or maybe even fortunately, things never go as planned. People are who they are and sometimes there is very little you can do to change that. . . . which leads me to who this post is really about. Of course really, it's all about him. It's always about him. But this person whom I would like to commend defied his curse. His enchantments. His lies.
To her I applaud these well-written words:
I’m better than this. The only thing I regret here is that I was actually stupid enough to become one of those girls I always pity. I let the hands that wrote those lies touch my hips, and the lips that maligned me touch mine. I hope you realize what you’ve lost in me. I’m far too good for you
and hope that some day I will have that power.

The Epic Story

I decided this blog was getting a little bit boring so I've added a twist at the end

I've been working on the dining room/living room area lately-- ceilings are finished, painting is finished except for a couple last touches, AC has been replaced with new vent covers, the mirror has been half washed, and I'm almost done putting in hardwood flooring in the dining room.
I'm still not sure how to arrange the couch since it has to be facing this stupid thing called a tv but no worries, I'll throw the furniture around some day and make it work
The reason the flooring has been taking so long is that I've beeen looking for a piece to go on the edge where it drops down into the living room and said piece really doesn't exist for my floor so we've finally decided to improvise.
my bookcase is huge and I've already moved over all the books I own and it's not even close so filling in those gaps is another future project of mine.
So here's the twist-- as I was cutting the last row of hardwood flooring today I somehow fed my finger to the saw. Right after we just put a sharp blade on it. Bad idea? YES. I cut half an inch of the side of my index finger "off." not actually off because it's still hanging in there but you get the idea. So then what did I do? Washed it off in the sink and apparently my dislike for nasty cuts and blood is more severe than I realized because as I was getting ready to walk out the door to head over to urgent care I blacked out and smacked my head on either the wall or the tile floor. No one's actually sure.
I told my mom to stop by my neighbor's first to see what he said (Doc Layton) and he said throw a bandaid on it so Dottie did so and I have been sleeping all afternoon with love given to me by 2 extra strength Tylenol.

In case you hadn't noticed before-- I'm a lyrics fanatic

What hurts the most was having so much to say and watching you walk away so I'll just dream of you tonight and pretend that tomorrow you'll want to hold me tight.

I wonder if you know you're all I think about at night because you're the only think that keeps me wishing on stars as I convince myself that you're only you when you're with me

I looked at you with that bright smile and sparkling eyes-- believed that you wanted to be with me until the end of time but you're lost in a different fantasy

I love to waste my time with you and keep you my dirty little secret

You beseech me to protect your paper heart 'cause you you you don't like my boyfriend

We were like children being told to behave but we've got a feeling-- check it and see

You're weren't surprised as we swayed like a lazy ocean hugs the shore

I waited for fact to come a fiction and I'm hoping you don't throw me away

You steal my breath spinning in captivating circles knowing you would always be everything

After 100, 1000 times of telling you I love you I was still calling to see

I'm in love with a fairy tale even though it hurts but who cares? I'm already cursed seeing butterfly kisses and believing two is better than one

I can't take a chance on a guy like you 'cause hon-- you're only a child.

You were a melody in my head stuck on replay

I thought you were all that I wanted as you laid there in my arms
Saw the sign to Ocean Avenue where we could stay up all night
Loved listening to the beat of your to the beat of your to the beat of your heart

And i say bend me, break me any way you need me 'cause I'm a Barbie girl
But all I wanted was for you to love me with all that you were and hold me as I fell asleep
Why? So when the world was closing in I could breathe
Apparently you mind standing in the nonexistent pouring rain here where I belong

I'm a beautiful girl whose face is a map of the world
But 100 days and 1000 lies later I wake up terrified of the happy nightmares
So here I am dark blue looking at how far I've come.
Back to head strong open toes listening to the prayer of the children
In the quiet, beautiful, misty morning telling my secrets to that world where I lock out my fears
Because somewhere over the rainbow, the roads aren't forever lonesome

A resting place for exhaustion.

It's getting there. Last week we worked on last minute prep work before carpet
Apparently I was not the only one who noticed the air under one of my tiles. So one of the carpet guys took it out. Along with another for some reason.
I replaced the two tiles but have not yet bothered to grout them
So--- carpet. My bedroom, my closet, the living room, and the hall closet all were carpeted last week.

And I've gotta say. . . . it's kinda nice.
I even have a bed now. YES, A BED. Dearest Brianna and I threw it into Jimmy and brought it's lovely self to a new home.
Brianna did not want to model her lavish mormon attire.
So here is my lovely new room. It all matches and I find that to be absolutely lovely. There are still things I need to move in and clean up and move around but for the most part, I think it's done.
Dearest Brianna was fascinated by braiding my string door. Fish tail!!!
I escaped from reality for a while Saturday and inserted myself into another reality.
I joined GeoClub on a trip to Ray Mine up past Superior.
It's really quite a dazzling view even if a majority of the beauty is due to human hands.
I never understand why people think they're funny when they're really not. "Caution: Tripping Hazard" no big deal, right?
That is, unless those signs are found inside a 10 foot tall metal scooper.
They gave us the most adorable of accessories to wear. . . . We even got to wear them in the car.
Yes, hard hat, darkened safety goggles, and steel toes.
Welcome to feeling like a retard. . .
But I enjoyed it.
And am still wondering how it was so dangerous for me to walk around in the dirt and why all that gear was necessary.

Let me give you an idea of how big some of the trucks they operate there are. I'm not sure if this was the biggest but just look at it next to that school bus
Same truck. It was like a moving house.
Apparently those trucks each cost $8-9 a minute to operate. But no worries. . . . . one truck full sells about $40,000 in copper
Here's some chrystacola that they pumped out of the ground. When mixed with HCl (hydrochloric acid) the copper can be extracted.
AWESOME mud cracks. It was like a miniature Grand Canyon. Well, canyonS.
And I might have felt like a 5-year-old when I jumped all over them and had them cave under me.
We went inside the place where they extract the copper. He said if we were afraid of heights to not come in which I found strange since it didn't appear that you would be anywhere high up.
I didn't realize there was a 3 story drop to the floor
Broken up rocks from which they extract the chrystacola
 Copper water.
This didn't turn out but as we were walking out of the building a few of us happened to notice this and well, it worried us a bit. Once we finished laughing.
On the left hand side it says "15 days since last incident!"

What to say. . . finals are finally over and somehow my days are still filled.
Sleep. Sleep is good.

Today I ate a box of Popems

While you are wasting your time reading this post please listen to the song below. I have even provided a YouTube link for you. It's a new favorite of mine.

Burning in the Skies - Linkin Park

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCOfKVGN3s8

This is what I look like most days lately. . . . . my nasty work outfit, eye and ear protection for using the tile saw, and an expression of complete exhaustion.
Hey so remember when I started tile? Well I'm done! Kind of. There is still an area in the garage that I want to do but the house part is finished.
Let's flash back to this bathroom. . . . the one with the nasty linoleum floor and grimy bathroom tiles. Actually- - - grimy everything.
Well it is now clean. CLEAN.
Clean shower, freshly painted walls, new tile, different toilet, new towel bar, shower rod and curtain instead of glass doors. .  . .
I'm still going to do a border along the edge of the 2 colors of paint but other than that it is finished.
And just in case you are severely worried, which I'm sure you're not.... NO that bath rug is not staying in there. It's Jacque's and that was simply a temporary home.
Even Randall commented on it's awful color clash. RANDALL.
So yes the tile is done in my bathroom/room. Finished. Grouted. DONE.
It's rather quite exciting.
We've also been working on doors lately. Here is a before and after picture of the door. And yes I do realize that they are opposite sides of the doors but chillax, it's okay.
I would just also like to say that the "ugly" door picture was probably the best looking door in the house.

In addition to working on door doors, my mom and grandparents have also been working on closet doors. More specifically-- Jacque's.
Pictures just can't even explain the difference. They just can't.
I also tiled the hall bathroom floor. I think this tile is boring but we got it to match the rest of the house tile and in the end I thought it ended up looking pretty super.
I decided to use my finger to grout the floor instead of the stupid little float. I now have a swollen finger with several missing layers of skin. It's quite retarded looking.
Also, when you're tiling a floor, don't decide to stand up while you have a counter corner directly above you. It leaves nasty cuts and bruises on your back.

And no, that is not my rear crack. It happens to be my back bone.
So now, the hall closet is also finished. Except for the door. . .  but we'll ignore that part.
I got tired of tiling between bathrooms and decided to finally paint the living room which was actually the first thing I wanted to do with my house but other priorities came first.
This is my $15 5 gal. of lovely green paint. Yes, green. Apparently I am obsessed.
Here are some before and after pictures of the living room!

This weekend will be hardwood flooring in the dining room and carpet in my room and the living room hopefully. HOPEFULLY. We'll see. . . . . I've learned that these things take at least 3x longer than I think they will.

In the meantime, when I've been lazy and missed having a life. . . .

I made a cake!
The cake never actually made it to a plate but we all enjoyed eating it straight out of the pan for a week or so.
I bribed Stephannie to have dinner with me by offering my deep fried nasties. Yes, the entire meal was a deep fried nasty. Mozzarella sticks, mushroom bites (which were disgusting BTW), tater tots, french fries, onion rings. . . . I think that was it.
Oh, and I did finally get a cookie sheet. But really- - - just straight foil ain't so bad.
It amazes me how we think we take semi-normal pictures and we usually just end up looking like freaks.
I've been spending a lot of time with this retard lately. We love having hate parties about school and life. I'm almost sad to say too that she actually took this picture herself. On purpose. Although I might be more scared if this was a random picture on accident.
I painted Brianna's nails with my new nail polish detail stuff. Then she took it off and painted horcruxes on each finger for the Harry Potter premier. I couldn't even be sad about that.
Randall came down from Idaho last week so we had a life for 5 days. Although if by "having a life" means spelling out boys' names with Jenga blocks then I should probably reconsider the meaning. In their defense, we were just waiting for the midnight of Burlesque to start and it was getting a little dull.
I also worked on my geology project last week. I spent a few hours hoping I wouldn't get jumped by a homeless man while I mapped out a road cut.
Here's my poster. Apparently it was pretty fantastic because my professor came up to me and me only at the beginning of class next day and commented on what a good job I did.
As for roommates-- it's going pretty good. Kendra bought a paint set last night so she painted while I didn't write my paper like I was supposed to.

As for things now, just 3 more days of classes and a few hours of death. Then it's over and I can starting sweating over my house again.

Life is great.
